My name is Mandy Smith (they/them), and I have been a nurse since 2005.

I completed my undergraduate nursing degree at Florida State University, and received my master’s degree in nursing from Columbus State University.

Most of my work as a registered nurse (RN) has been in Oncology, and I’ve had experiences on both sides of the stethoscope that were affirming, or not. Oncology propelled me into grad school, but realizing the impact I could have as a family nurse practitioner (FNP) lit a fire that has opened my eyes to a whole new path.

I know how much better I feel when I get to fully be myself at work, at play, or at a medical visit, and I want to cultivate that feeling for myself and for all y’all too.
